Munich. Telefónica O2 Germany will radically simplify its tariff portfolio as of 5 May. The established O2 Inclusive Packages and the O2 Genion tariffs will expire as of 4 May. They will be replaced by a novel offer. Only two of the previous tariffs will be provided in a similar form within the new structure: The O2 Inclusive Package and the O2 Mobile Flat for calls to the German fixed network and the O2 network.
“We will shortly offer our customers a radically simplified tariff portfolio tailored to their specific requirements. With O2 Mobile Flat and O2 Inclusive Package which are based on the previous offer logic we continue to provide the two tariffs with the strongest demand”, says Lutz Schüler, Managing Director Marketing and Sales, Telefónica O2 Germany. “On 24 April, we will present our entirely new tariff system.”
The O2 Inclusive Package comprises 100 inclusive minutes to all German networks offered for a monthly basic fee of € 10. The monthly basic fee of € 20 for the O2 Mobile Flat includes all calls to the German network and the German mobile network of O2. € 0.29 per minute are charged for both tariffs for calls to all German networks beyond this volume. In addition, customers pay € 0.19 for each SMS message. The minimum contract term amounts to 24 months. The O2 Mobile Flat offers all advantages that have so far been included in the Genion tariffs. Customers are given a separate landline number which they use to be reached in their homezone at conditions similar to the fixed network. Customers who combine their O2 Mobile Flat or O2 Inclusive Package contract with a new mobile phone will pay € 15 per month for the mobile device.
