O2 widens appeal for broadband service with new great value for Pay & Go customers

O2 today announces that active O2 Pay&Go customers will be able to get O2’s high quality home broadband service for the same price as pay monthly customers - from just £7.50 per month. This latest broadband pricing structure, coupled with a high quality service and excellent customer satisfaction record, makes O2 Broadband one of the most competitive and attractive broadband offerings in the UK.

All O2 Pay&Go customers topping up a minimum of £10 in the 3 months before their broadband bill date will be eligible for the new O2 Broadband price points, meaning both Pay & Go and Pay Monthly customers will be offered the same unbeatable package, paying from just £7.50 a month.

O2 Broadband was launched with a simple promise to make broadband better, by addressing frustrations that have created dissatisfaction amongst consumers in the market and offering a service that is simple to set up and use and totally transparent in terms of pricing and service speeds.

Since launch last October, O2 Broadband is gaining traction, with a customer poll from thinkbroadband.com rating O2’s broadband service ahead of other ISPs including AOL, Orange, TalkTalk Broadband and BT Broadband for speed, reliability and service. In early February 2008, O2 was ranked in the top five consumer ADSL broadband providers by the network monitoring company Epitiro.

Having delivered on our promise of bringing a high quality broadband customer experience to market, we are delighted to be able to extend this great value pricing to our Pay&Go customers,” said Sally Cowdry, marketing director, O2 UK.

O2 Broadband is simple to set up and use, offers great value for money, total transparency in both pricing and service speeds and has free, UK-based 24/7 customer care when you call from a landline or O2 mobile.

From Friday 22nd February, the available price plans for active O2 Pay&Go and O2 Pay Monthly customers will be:

* exact speed depends on factors such as the customer’s distance from the exchange.

Non O2 customers pay a £5 per month supplement on each price point.

O2 Broadband offers the following:

With best plan advice, customers will only pay for the broadband package that is right for them. Prior to completing the purchase, a line check will be completed to estimate the speeds the customer can receive to ensure they are placed on the correct package.  This will be checked up to 1 month later to ensure the package selected by the customer is appropriate and that they only pay for the package appropriate for the speed their line can support.

Customers can purchase O2 Broadband either online, in any O2 retail store or through O2 customer service. For more information, visit www.o2.co.uk/broadband
