Global industrial selects O2 for mobile voice and data
O2 today announced that it has won a coveted contract with Saint-Gobain, one of the world’s top 100 industrial corporations, to provide voice, Blackberry and other mobile data services to users in the UK and Ireland. The deal will see approximately 6,000 connections transferred to O2.
Last year Saint-Gobain evaluated several suppliers in the mobile sector before choosing O2. The prime factor in the decision was the high quality of service provision, efficiency and network technology that O2 could offer. In addition, the teams worked well together to resolve issues and solve problems effectively.
O2 will work closely with Saint-Gobain to understand the challenges facing the multiple elements of the business and identify potential mobile solutions, such as field force communication applications. This is just one of a number of applications that O2 will be reviewing with Saint-Gobain to continue to assist and improve their business processes and efficiencies.

The win is a further testament to the success of the O2 Sales Academy in developing the O2 sales team and differentiating O2 in the marketplace with a more people-focused sales approach.
