O2 UK reinforces board with four new appointments

Following the recent appointment of Ronan Dunne as Chief Executive Officer, O2 UK today announced four new board appointments with effect from 1st February 2008.

Stephen Shurrock and Ben Dowd have been appointed as Consumer Sales Director and Business Sales Director respectively taking over from former Sales Director Mark Stansfeld who has moved to a non-executive director role supporting Ronan Dunne in O2 UK. Together Shurrock and Dowd will ensure O2 UK remains competitive and grows in both the business and consumer markets.

Tim Sefton will take over from Cath Keers to become Customer Director. Cath is moving to support Matthew Key as a non-executive director at Telefonica O2 Europe. Sefton will be responsible for ensuring O2 UK has a clearly defined brand, developing and managing the company’s customer strategy and overseeing the communications function.

Ann Pickering, current Head of HR for O2 UK will join the board as HR Director. This role will ensure board level focus for O2 UK’s employee strategy and welfare.
