O2 Germany

February 2008: O2 Germany was awarded the number 1 mobile telecom provider with the high-test global satisfaction rating in 2007. This is the result of the Kundenmonitor Deutschland (Customer Monitor Germany), the largest independent, cross-sector survey to measure customer satisfaction in Germany.

March 2006: O2 Germany won the prestigious ADC Award in the gold category for its trade fair exhibition stand at the CeBIT 2005. The award is conferred every year by the Art Directors Club Germany for the best creative efforts in Germany.

November 2005: O2 Germany has received the 'Ethics in Business' quality mark for its outstanding commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

October 2005: O2 Germany received the "Superbrands Germany 2005" award, with which the international organisation Superbrands honours outstanding brand management in Germany.

June 2005: At the 'Mobile Internet' awards run by Connect magazine. O2 Germany was presented with three first-place awards for its mobile services. O2 prevailed over the competition with its O2 Active Portal, MMS Info-Services and PDA Portal.

May 2005: Winner of two intermedia-globe awards at the WorldMediaFestival in Hamburg. The festival is an international competition for modern audio-visual communication media. The Gold and Silver awards were for reports provided on 'intraview O2' - the Company's intranet TV service.

March 2005: O2 wins the 2005 brand award from magazine 'absatzwirtschaft' in the 'Best New Brand' category. In addition, the online platform "inside-handy" presented O2 with the 'Network Operator of the Year' award. This result was based on a user survey. A total of 40% of all of the votes cast went to O2.

February 2005: O2 Germany is listed among the top 15 medium-sized employers in Germany by the 'Great Place to Work' Institute.

January 2005: A survey on 'satisfaction with, and loyalty to private mobile network providers' conducted by the dpm-team, a Hamburg-based market research company, has revealed that O2 is the leader by far: 84.2% of O2 customers are either satisfied or very satisfied with their service provider. The survey was based on a national sample of 1000 people ranging in age from 18 to 49. It was conducted between December 1 and 8 via the web-based polling portal Meinungspool.

November 2004: Winner of the 2004 'Golden Victoria' print advertising award in recognition of its 'bold rebranding and innovative advertising campaigns'.

June 2004: O2 Germany gained top position amongst mobile operators at the influential 'Mobile Internet' awards run by Connect magazine. O2 Germany won 3 categories, best handset portal, best MMS info service and best PDA portal.

March 2004: O2 Germany wins the 'Bavarian Quality Award' in the category for business service companies, given by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs.

November 2003: Red Dot Communications Award for O2's communications strategy at CeBIT 2003.

November 2003: Rudolf Groeger awarded 'National Leadership Award' by the National Leadership Award Economic Forum.

October 2003: Won the Silver Effie 2003 for its innovative campaign, 'O2 is like no other brand'. The 'Effie' is the most coveted award in the German communications and marketing sector given by the Association of Communications Agencies GWA.

October 2003: O2 Germany achieved the first prize at the German Media Awards 2003 for the 'Media Strategy of the Year'.
