April 2005: Manx Telecom becomes the first company on the Isle of Man to win the Information Security Standard BS7799 certification. Manx Telecom had to demonstrate that, working in partnership with the Isle of Man government, it had established a benchmark in information security for the island.

October 2002: Manx Telecom won international recognition for its 3G service, collecting the Excellence in Mediation (the process of collecting charging information), Tarifica Billing Magazine Globe Awards. Judges were especially impressed with how Manx has used mediation as a key element of its flexible pricing and rating (the allocation of charges for services) for 3G services on the Isle of Man.
