As part of our commitment to continuously improve the level of accessibility within our corporate website, we have designed the online version of our Corporate Responsibility Report 2006 to be available and inclusive for all user groups.
The report has been developed in line with the priority levels 1, 2 and two checkpoints in level 3 of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines, part of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
This section outlines some of the accessibility features that we have provided for users and guidance on how to use them.
Our Corporate Responsibility Report 2006 has been optimised to be viewed at a minimum screen resolution of 800 x 600 within the following browsers or, their corresponding higher version numbers:
The colour combinations have been checked to ensure appropriate colour contrast and colour difference. The pages are not based on frames and can therefore be printed easily by clicking on the 'Printable version' button within every page of the website.
Text equivalents have been provided for every non-text element, ALT tags provided for all images and long descriptions for charts and graphs. Page and table header tags have also been included.
The key website navigation links have been produced in text for improved readability. The left hand navigation allows users to access deeper content areas within the Corporate Responsibility Report.
All navigation has been designed to be as user-friendly as possible, allowing the site's content to be viewed within the minimum number of mouse clicks. It is possible to access all pages of the web site using the 'Search' and 'Site map' functions. The Corporate Responsibility Report also has its own 'Search' and 'Site map' functions.
Navigation routes have been developed to be as accessible as possible and compatible with the types of adaptive technology used by people with disabilities, including screen readers.
We strive to make our website fully accessible and where possible, provide our information in a number of alternative formats. The Downloads section of this website does however, contain a number of PDF documents which we are unable to re-produce in alternative formats. We encourage any users, experiencing problems with our site to email us at: feedback@o2.com. We will work to solve any issues as a priority and where possible, will respond to individual requests for information in alternative formats.
To view the PDF files within this section, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Adobe installed, please Download Adobe Acrobat Reader software.
All text sizes within the content pages and navigation have been set to relative sizes, which can be increased or decreased for more comfortable screen reading. Colours can be changed by users for improved readability. These can be altered in your Web browser.
We have partnered with Segala to provide a web accessibility accreditation scheme as we seek to improve accessibility for the disabled, the elderly and mobile workers.
Segala is responsible for certifying O2's web based supplier roster with the WAI* 'AA' guidelines by providing a branded logo which acts as a seal of approval for O2. Segala is also providing ongoing advice to O2 on mobile device and Web accessibility.
