Scope and boundaries

The Spanish telecommunications group Telefónica, S.A. acquired O2 Plc in January 2006. The O2 businesses in Europe now form a division within the group Telefónica Europe Plc - of which Telefónica O2 UK Limited is a part.

O2 remains an autonomous brand within Telefónica and is the public face of our business.  

Our Corporate Responsibility report covers Telefónica O2 UK operations only, but it refers to Telefónica Europe on matters of governance and to common corporate responsibility actions within the wider Telefónica group.

It omits information about other O2 businesses, our joint venture and sub-contracted operations and supplier activities (unless otherwise stated).
