Some customers will choose to use their mobiles to access legal gambling services. We respect their rights to do so, but are committed to making sure that children are protected.
In line with UK law as well as our responsibilities under the UK Code of Practice for the self-regulation of new forms of content on mobiles, O2 requires commercial partners offering gambling services to ensure that these are only available to customers who have proved they are 18 or over.
Mobile advertising is a potentially important new area of our business with associated new content standards issues. In 2007, through the Mobile Broadband Group, we joined the Advertising Standards Association and have started to establish some internal guidelines.
