We aim for a reputation as an employer that is second to none

Our strategy is designed to attract the best and broadest range of talent to our business.

We believe O2’s reputation and brand values help us to attract people from many different communities.  Our community activities also help to build local relationships.

Our aim is to offer a supportive work environment that enables our employees to thrive, with pay and benefits  that reward their efforts.

Our recruitment procedures are decided locally. Vacancies in relevant offices are advertised online or in the national and trade press.

But to recruit and retain the volume of people we have needed in the past two years, we have tried to become more creative in our approach. In 2007, for example, we began advertising in ABLE magazine to attract more people with disabilities to O2.

We support flexible working and family-friendly policies and there are opportunities for part-time working at all levels. Our policies enable employees of diverse faiths and cultures to work together and we have special arrangements for people to fulfil religious obligations while at work.

We hope our well being and flexible benefits initiatives encourage loyalty among our employees. By offering a range of initiatives we try to give employees the chance to take care of their health and to achieve a good balance between their work and other commitments.

The average length of service for our employees in the UK is 4.16 years1.
