Following the employment of an Energy Manager in the UK during 2006, a number of potential energy reductions in our offices and call centres were identified. These reductions represent a potential saving of around 10 per cent of total energy consumption over a 12-month period.

Rented premises are included where possible, but some may be excluded.
2 There were 14,914 full-time employees at the end of FY 2004/05; 16,673 at the end of FY 2005/06;
and 27,464 at the end of 2006. This figure also includes Telefónica O2 Czech Republic for the first time.
