Gender

Our business is relatively well balanced in terms of gender: 40 per cent of our employees are women. O2 offers flexible and home-working arrangements where possible. In the UK, a high proportion of women who take maternity leave return to the business, many of them part time.

The number of women holding senior management positions as at December 2006 stood at 97. Of the 11-strong Telefónica O2 Europe Board, three (27 per cent) are women.
