Fuel oil

Our consumption of fuel oil does not make a significant environmental impact.

We use fuel oil in two main ways:

  • Diesel for our emergency generators at cell sites.
  • Oil for heating our buildings.

Diesel generators are used only in emergencies or for very short periods of testing and the consumption is very low.

We have been trialling a much more efficient LPG-powered alternative generator at some of our cell sites.
