Diesel storage

O2 stores diesel fuel at offices and equipment fixed installations to provide power for emergency generators.

In the vast majority of cases, this is stored in secondary-protected over ground tanks. Work to raise above ground the one remaining O2 UK site will be completed this year.

Most of the fuel stored is diesel for emergency generators. Manx Telecom and O2 Airwave also use significant quantities of oil for heating.
