Emergency relief

Our customers and employees respond generously at times of disaster and we try to support them

During the year, we set up a fundraising scheme for the 2005 Asia Quake Appeal and we made a commitment to match the resulting funds. O2 also made an initial corporate donation of £10,000 to the Disasters Emergency Committee.

Our schemes ran through the payroll via Can Do Giving between January and March and October to December 2005. Our employees raised £64,000 and £42,000 for the causes respectively, and O2 matched those sums exactly.
