Our code of ethics – the O2 Business Principles - sets the standards of conduct we expect of everyone at O2 and ensures our reputation is not put at risk.
We aim to treat everyone fairly and impartially, without prejudice, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, marital status, sexual orientation or disability.
We do not tolerate harassment or persecution or use any form of forced or child labour.
Everyone in the Company must undergo training in our Business Principles. We have set ourselves the target of 85 per cent of employees completing this training by the end of 2006.
We continue to provide a confidential help facility for employees to report by phone, email or letter any worries they have about a breach of our principles. These so-called whistle-blowing lines are entirely confidential and all complaints and follow-up action are carefully logged.
We believe our ethical standards are high and we encourage our suppliers to apply similar standards.
O2 Germany won endorsement for its ethical conduct when in November 2005 it received the German Prize for Ethics in Business, a quality mark that celebrates outstanding commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
