Differentiation through our people

We think the O2 workforce is outstanding and the culture we have created in the Company is unrivalled in the industry.

FootballWe try to provide the conditions, business strategy, rewards and work-life balance that make people want to work for O2 - and be proud to do so.

We had two main objectives during the year: to make O2 an employer of choice and to become an even better place to work. We involved employees directly in suggesting ways of how best to achieve this. Our efforts continue to be endorsed in well-recognised independent surveys:

  • O2 UK was named among the top 30 great places to work in the UK in a survey conducted by the Great Place to Work® Institute, published by the Financial Times.
  • O2 Germany was ranked ninth in Germany's Best Employers 2006 awards.
  • O2 Ireland was named overall best company to work for in Ireland 2006.
  • O2 Germany and O2 Ireland were included in the Top 10 of Europe's best workplaces.
