Our funding policy

Within our focus areas of youth, education, health and the environment, we have a group-wide funding policy which helps us to decide which organisations we work with.

We seek to support projects that:

  • use mobile or other wireless technology to address a social need in new ways.
  • are based in and supportive of a community in a regional location in which we operate (currently within the UK, Germany, Ireland, the Isle of Man, and the Czech Republic and Slovakia).
  • involve our employees, who are central to our community investment activity.
  • enable those supported through the project to achieve self-generated sustainable improvements in their lives.
  • link with our business ethos to build positive relationships and foster learning, particularly for young people.
  • enable people to make real improvements to where they live.

It is our policy NOT to provide support for:

  • political organisations.
  • religious organisations.
  • individuals.
  • expeditions.
  • general appeals.
  • those intending to buy advertising or promotion.

Our operating businesses may have selection criteria that differ from this Corporate Policy and reflect the needs of local communities. To find out more about what are doing in the community and to see what support they might be able to give you can visit their websites or read more on the following pages:
