23 December 2009: Telefónica Acquires IP Communications Leader JAJAH.

5 November 2009: Telefónica reaches an agreement with Telecom Italia to acquire Hansenet.

16 October 2009: O2 launches the Palm Pre in the UK and Germany.

1 October 2009: O2 enters the business fixed telecommunications market with the launch of its full communications service to small and large businesses.

15 July 2009: O2 Expands into Personal Finance with Launch of O2 Money.

7 July 2009: Telefónica and Palm announce Palm Pre exclusive in Europe.

22 June 2009: First O2 and Vodafone UK shared network site live; infrastructure deal delivers significant coverage improvements.

19 June 2009: O2 launches two new iPhones, the iPhone 3G S 16GB and iPhone 3G S 32GB.

24 April 2009: Telefónica O2 Germany launches O2 o - revolutionary tariff with no basic fee and no fixed contract.

7 January 2009: Deutsche Post World Net and Telefónica sign €350m pan-European telecoms services agreement.
